Job summary

Arup Spain is seeking a BIM Civil Infrastructure Specialist to implement BIM standards across projects and collaborate with international teams on civil infrastructure initiatives.

You will produce and manage 3D models, participate in coordination meetings, and ensure timely delivery while advancing automation and digital training within a multidisciplinary group.

Qualifications

• Recognized qualification in engineering, design, drafting, Building Information Modeling (BIM), or a related field.
• At least 3 years of infrastructure project experience in Spain or Europe, contributing to complex projects.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Civil3D, OpenRoads Designer and Revit; Infraworks preferred.
• Hands-on with ACC/BIM360 in relevant tasks and workflows.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Good level of English and Spanish both.

Responsibilities

• Understand and implement Arup’s BIM Strategy and ensure compliance with project BIM standards across all projects.
• Be part of an international team, collaborating on civil and infrastructure projects.
• Produce and manage high-quality 3D models and drawings throughout project stages, maintaining the CDE.
• Provide coordination input and participate in coordination meetings to resolve interdisciplinary issues.
• Ensure accuracy, quality, and timely delivery of work per Arup and project standards.
• Continuously develop on the job with bespoke BIM and digital trainings.
• Identify and support automation and digital innovation implementations.

Our Civil Engineering team in Spain delivers integrated solutions across data centre, industrial and infrastructure projects. Working within multidisciplinary teams, we design the utility networks and drainage systems that enable complex developments to operate safely, efficiently and sustainably.

As a BIM Civil Infrastructure Specialist at Arup, you will:

• Understand and implement Arup’s BIM Strategy and ensure compliance with project BIM standards across all projects

• Ensure the accuracy, quality, and timely delivery of work, in accordance with Arup and project standards
• Continuously develop on the job and with bespoke BIM and digital trainings
• Identify and support the implementation of automation and digital innovation

We're looking for someone who is passionate about digital, BIM and megaprojects.

We also value:

• Recognized qualification in engineering, design, drafting, Building Information Modeling (BIM), or a related field
• At least 3 years of experience in Infrastructure projects in Spain or across Europe, contributing to more complex projects and demonstrating competence in both technical drawing production and BIM modeling
• Skills and experience in the following applications: AutoCAD, Civil3D,OpenRoads Designer and Revit. Infraworks would also be positively considered
• Hands‑on with using ACC/BIM360, applying them effectively in relevant tasks and workflows
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• At least good level of English and Spanish both
