PPG in Barcelona, Spain, seeks a Central Finance Data Governance Specialist to join the Central Finance Operations team. You will support governance, maintenance and quality of finance master data used in SAP Central Finance and help ensure accurate replication of financial information from source ERPs.

This role blends finance with systems and data, offering exposure to ERP ecosystems, master data standards, and digital transformation across a global organization.

• Coordinate with regional/global approvers to ensure timely closure of requests.
• Support data harmonization, mapping and replication across multiple ERP systems.
• Participate in testing and train users when new functionality is introduced.
• Analyze reconciliation differences and drive root-cause resolution.

Are you looking for an opportunity to grow in a global finance transformation environment? We are looking for a motivated finance professional to join our Central Finance Operations team as Central Finance Data Governance Specialist. In this role, you will support the governance, maintenance and quality of finance master data used in SAP Central Finance. You will help ensure accurate replication of financial information from different source ERPs into CFIN, while learning how finance processes, systems, data and reporting connect in a global organization. This is a finance role with a strong systems and data component. It is a great opportunity for someone with a Finance or Accounting background who is curious about process improvement, ERP systems, master data and digital transformation. If you are willing to learn, ask questions, take ownership and follow topics through until they are closed, this is your opportunity. You will join a global team that works closely with Finance, IT, SAP COE, project teams, ERP super users and external partners. What You Will Do

• Support the maintenance of finance master data in SAP MDG-F and SAP Central Finance.
• Review new or changing finance master data from source ERPs and assess whether updates are required in MDG-F.
• Analyze business requests and ensure alignment with global finance standards and the Common Information Model.
• Enter, monitor and follow up on master data requests, ensuring those progress through the correct approval and resolution process.
• Coordinate with regional and global approvers to ensure timely closure of requests.
• Support data harmonization, mapping and replication activities across multiple ERP systems.
• Participate in testing and support user training when new functionality or process changes are introduced.
• Analyze CFIN transaction errors, identify root causes, coordinate with the appropriate teams and follow issues through to resolution.
• Perform monthly reconciliations between CFIN and our consolidation system to ensure the completeness, accuracy and integrity of financial data.
• Analyze reconciliation differences and financial data discrepancies, partnering with Finance, IT and source ERP teams to identify root causes and drive resolution.
• Support finance reporting requirements by coordinating with the Reporting & Analytics team.
• Support finance master data needs related to new legal entities, trading partners, reporting requirements and acquisitions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or similar.
• Strong interest in finance processes, systems, data and digital transformation.
• Good analytical skills, attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Excellent communication and ability to collaborate with global teams.
• Ability to work independently while staying connected with the team and escalating when support is needed.
• SAP, master data or reporting tool experience is a plus.
• Willingness to work across time zones when business needs require it.
