American International Group in Madrid is seeking a Casualty Junior Underwriter for a temporary 6-month assignment. You will support the Casualty/Liabilities team with underwriting tasks, collaborate with underwriters on new and renewal business, and help shape tailored insurance solutions.

The role focuses on learning and contributing under close supervision, performing data checks, and assisting with system setup, endorsements, and renewal research.

Formación

  • Some experience in Insurance industry, Casualty underwriting.
  • Industry related summer internship is a plus.
  • Fluent English skills (written & spoken).
  • Outgoing and entrepreneurial personality.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsabilidades

  • This role performs underwriting functions in support of the underwriters under direct supervision, within Casualty / Liabilities department.
  • Partner with underwriters for end-to-end processing of new and renewal business.
  • Being involved in all areas that are required.
  • Works closely with underwriters to develop and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Work with allocated underwriters to set-up, update and bind all underwriting systems and support platforms.
  • Perform data analytics, referral documentation preparation and completion, as well as form checklist and working approval.
  • Support with AIG tools as first information research about renewal accounts, such as claims track record, expiry conditions …etc.
  • Support with product or endorsement amendments requested by the underwriting team.
  • Answers routine questions from brokers, insureds, and other department personnel.
  • Studying and following up the insurance policies (Liabilities portfolio).

Casualty Junior Underwriter TEMPORARY (6 months approx)
