Job Description: A vacancy for a Buyer has arisen within Airbus Operations in Getafe (Madrid).

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Contribute to the sourcing activity, manage the tendering and the contract negotiation to achieve the best purchasing conditions in accordance within Company requirements (Internal - External).
• Monitor the contract (during innovation, development, serial and support phases) with suppliers and Company stakeholders to achieve through out the contract life cycle a complete application of terms and conditions to ensure suppliers deliver expected performance in all dimensions (Logistics, support, quality, cost...).
• Manage the day to day relationships with suppliers and running projects to optimize customer value, while minimizing total cost of ownership & risks.
• Is part of the Multifunctional/Multidivisional teams all along the tendering, contracting and contract life cycle phases.

SKILLS- EXPERIENCE

Given the scope of the position you will be able to work seamlessly with all levels of the business in Airbus Commercial.

You will have the following attributes.

• Experience in Procurement
• Proven successful experience in teamwork in intercultural environment
• Efficient project management
• Effective negotiator with proven commercial and contractual background and legal awareness
• Financial key indicators knowledge
• Experience in delivering cost reduction initiatives
• Ability to drive improvement & innovation to deliver concrete results
• In depths know-how of the Aerostructure market and supplier strategies of his/her perimeter
• Proven in communication, especially with suppliers’ representatives and internal stakeholders
• Effective management of customer expectations and stakeholders
• Negotiation level in English
