THEKER Robotics, located in Barcelona, is seeking a Technical Deployment Engineer to oversee the technical lifecycle of system deployments. This role requires a strong engineering background to manage technical designs, documentation, and compliance.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering and have substantial experience in technical documentation and deployment processes. The role demands a hands-on approach in a fast-paced environment, emphasizing the importance of ownership and responsibility.

Your role

We are looking for a Technical Deployment Engineer to own the full technical lifecycle of THEKER’s deployments: from layout and integration design through certifications, safety compliance, and IP documentation.

This role sits at the core of how THEKER scales. As we expand into new sites and customers, we need someone who can turn complex robotic systems into structured, repeatable deployments. You will build and maintain the technical office that makes this possible: defining layouts, navigating regulatory and certification requirements, structuring the documentation that enables fast and reliable replication, and contributing to our growing IP portfolio.

You will work directly with engineering, operations, and the founding team. The environment is fast and the problems are real: live deployments in industrial facilities, new robotic platforms launching every quarter, and a team that expects you to own your scope and move without hand‑holding.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electronics, or similar).
• Solid understanding of how physical systems are deployed in industrial environments: layouts, integration constraints, installation sequences.
• Experience in one or more of the following: technical documentation, engineering office roles, certification or compliance processes, project or process engineering.
• Ability to structure complex technical information with rigor and make it accessible to engineering, operations, and external stakeholders.
• Fluent technical English.
• Based in Barcelona or willing to relocate (100% on‑site).

Nice to have

• Exposure to industrial property or patent processes.
• Experience in regulated or standards‑driven industries (industrial automation, robotics, automotive, aerospace, medical devices).
• Experience supporting customer deployments or on‑site industrial installations.
• Outstanding academic background.

Main Responsibilities

• Own the technical layout and integration design for each customer deployment, from early scoping through final sign‑off.
• Build and maintain the documentation infrastructure that enables fast, repeatable replication of THEKER systems across sites and clients.
• Lead certification and regulatory processes for new deployments, identifying applicable standards and coordinating with relevant bodies.
• Manage safety assessments and documentation for THEKER’s robotic systems, covering both product and installation‑level requirements.
• Structure technical material in support of THEKER’s IP portfolio: patent filings, technical disclosures, and system specifications.
• Capture and organise system knowledge across deployments: components, requirements, constraints, suppliers, and version history.
• Coordinate with engineering and operations to ensure that product design and deployment reality stay aligned as the platform evolves.
• Track open technical items across active deployments and drive them to resolution without escalation.

What The Process Looks Like

• Intro call with Martín (Chief of Staff) – 30 minutes.
• Technical challenge (take‑home): a structured documentation or deployment scoping exercise.
• Conversation with our engineering and operations team.
• Meet the rest of the team and founders at our offices.

The steps can be completed in 7 days.
