Afixen is seeking a Business Unit Manager in Madrid to build, develop, and lead a Business Unit with a strong executive leadership approach.

You will define the BU vision, grow a portfolio of enterprise clients, recruit and develop high-performing teams, and own the full P&L while aligning with the group’s strategic direction for international growth.

Formación

• Master’s degree in engineering or business.
• Proven experience in business development, team management, or business unit leadership.
• Strong business acumen and sense of ownership.
• Executive presence and credibility with senior stakeholders.
• English and Spanish professional proficiency; Catalan is a plus.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a Business Unit Manager to build, develop, and lead a Business Unit, leveraging a strong business mindset and a true executive leadership approach.

Business Unit Vision & Strategy

• Define the positioning, offerings, and roadmap of the Business Unit
• Develop a credible and differentiated value proposition
• Identify market opportunities and drive strategic growth
• Represent Afixen with key decision-makers and partners

Business Development & Strategic Accounts

• Develop and manage a portfolio of key enterprise clients
• Negotiate long-term, strategic contracts
• Ensure sustainable, profitable, and healthy growth

Business Unit Build & Leadership

• Recruit, structure, and develop high-performing teams
• Foster a culture of performance, accountability, and high standards
• Own and manage the full P&L (revenue, margin, profitability, staffing)
• Implement effective performance metrics and action plans

Executive Role within the Group

• Act as a true Business Unit leader, accountable for decisions and results
• Contribute to the group’s strategic direction (offerings, organization, growth)
• Actively participate in building and scaling Afixen over the long term

Profile

• Master’s degree (Engineering school, Business school, or equivalent)
• Proven experience in business development, team management, or business unit leadership
• Strong business acumen and sense of ownership
• Natural leadership, strong professional credibility, and executive presence
• Comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders (executives, procurement, program managers, technical experts)
• Professional level of English and Spanish required, Catalan is a plus
