Descripción del empleo

We’re a rocketship: 9-figure revenue, record growth, and profitable

With $200M+ in revenue, guests in 700+ cities, and 18 months of profitability, Headout is the fastest-growing marketplace in the travel industry, and we’re just getting started. We've raised $60M+ from top-tier investors and are building a durable company for the long term — because that's what our mission needs and deserves. We’re growing, profitable and nowhere near done.

What we do is important

In an increasingly digital world, there is a desperate need to augment our human experience by getting us to interact with the real world around us and the people in it. At Headout, our mission is to be the easiest, fastest, and most delightful way to head out to a real-life experience — from immersive tours to museums to live events and everything in between.

Why now?

The foundation is strong. The opportunity ahead is even bigger. We’ve hit profitability, built momentum, and proven the model — but there’s so much more to build. If you’re looking to join a company where the trajectory is steep and your impact is real, this is the moment.

Our culture

Reinventing the travel industry isn't easy, but that's the fun part.
We care deeply about ownership, craft, and impact, and we’re here to do the best work of our careers. We won’t pretend like it’s for everyone but if you’re a builder who loves solving tough problems, you’ll feel right at home.

Overview

Hi, I'm Diego , General Manager for Iberia & South America at Headout. I'm hiring a Business Development Manager to join my team and help us build the next phase of Headout's business across the region.

This is not a role where the work arrives neatly packaged. One day, you may be opening a conversation with an operator we need to win. On another, you may be working through an operational issue, looking at performance data, or pushing an internal team to get a partner live. Your job is consistent: find the opportunity, make the commercial case, and get the partner signed and live.

I am looking for someone hungry, ambitious and self-directed. You should be comfortable making decisions with incomplete information, asking for context when you need it, and creating momentum without waiting for step-by-step instructions. If that sounds like the way you already work, read on.

Why this role, why now

Iberia and South America form Headout's most diverse region. The supply spans traditional museums, contemporary and immersive attractions, live entertainment, nightlife and hop-on hop-off experiences. The markets are just as varied: what works in Spain will not automatically work in Portugal, Argentina or Brazil, and the regions within each country bring another layer of difference.

That variety is the opportunity. Portugal is already a meaningful market for Headout, Brazil is the next major frontier, and there is still substantial room to deepen what we have built across the region. You will help decide which partners, categories and experiences should drive the next phase of growth - then turn those choices into results.

What you'll own
  • New supply acquisition. Identify the operators and experiences that matter, open the relationship, make the commercial case, negotiate, and get the partnership signed and live.
  • Supply growth and maintenance. Strengthen existing partnerships, spot gaps and opportunities, and keep the quality and breadth of our inventory moving forward.
  • Operational execution. Work across Operations, Product, Tech, Marketing, Customer Experience and other central teams to turn commercial decisions into a strong live setup.
  • Data-led decisions. Use market signals, partner performance and customer demand to decide where to focus and what to change.
  • Momentum across teams. Follow through when the work depends on others. Surface blockers early, make the next action clear, and follow up until the work is done.

This is not a narrow sales role: you will own the partner journey from identifying the opportunity through signing, launch and ongoing growth. How you spend your time will change based on what the market and your partners need most.

You could be a great fit if
  • You bring 4-6 years of experience in business development, sales, partnerships, or a closely related role. This is not a junior position.
  • You are fluent in Portuguese, Spanish and English, and based in Madrid or willing to relocate.
  • Your background combines investment banking with startup operating experience, or you have worked at a top-tier, high-growth startup.
  • You have strong commercial judgment and are comfortable moving between external selling, account work, data and operational detail.
  • You get to the root cause of a problem and connect the dots on complex issues - not just relay messages between partners and internal teams.
  • You have a proven track record of closing hard deals across different contexts - the kind others can't close.
You may not enjoy this role if
  • You want a junior role with close day-to-day direction.
  • You prefer a narrow sales remit and want to hand off the work once the commercial conversation is done.
  • You wait for perfect information before making a call.
  • You are uncomfortable chasing an internal dependency or owning the operational detail needed to get a partner live.
  • You don't like to travel.

We want the process to show you the real work and give you enough context to decide whether Headout is right for you.

You will have time to ask questions throughout.
