Job summary

Mercor is seeking a Psychiatry Expert for a contracted role to evaluate how AI models reason through complex mental health cases. The position offers a flexible remote arrangement and an engagement at $150 per hour.

The ideal candidate will bring a psychiatry residency, active board certification, and a medical license, with 3+ years of independent practice and experience in telehealth or hospital settings. US, UK, Europe, or Australia-based applicants are welcome.

Qualifications

• Completed psychiatry residency (ACGME/AOA or national equivalent).
• MD or DO degree; DO and international degrees qualify.
• Active board certification in psychiatry (ABPN, FRCPC, MRCPsych, FRANZCP or national equivalent).
• Active, unrestricted medical license (no suspensions).
• 3+ years of independent practice after residency.
• Practice in hospital, academic center, community clinic, private practice, or telehealth.
• Based in the US, UK, Europe, or Australia (US preferred).

Responsibilities

Qualifications

Must-Have

• Completed psychiatry residency: ACGME, AOA, or national equivalent.
• Medical degree: MD or DO. DO and international degrees qualify.
• Active board certification in psychiatry: ABPN, FRCPC, MRCPsych, FRANZCP, or recognized national equivalent.
• Active, unrestricted medical license. No suspension, revocation, or open disciplinary action.
• 3+ years of independent practice after residency, currently or within the last 2 years.
• Practice in an accredited or government-licensed setting: hospital, academic center, community clinic, private practice, or telehealth.
• Based in the US, UK, Europe, or Australia. US preferred.

Preferred

• 10+ direct patient-contact hours per week, current. Clinical care only.
• Psychiatry-Specific Subspecialty depth in Addiction, Child/Adolescent, Forensic, Geriatric, or Consultation-Liaison.
• OSCE development or examiner experience.
• Faculty appointment in a department of psychiatry, current or within 2 years.
