Institute for Bioengineering of Catalonia (IBEC) in Barcelona offers 6 PhD fellowships for Generación de Conocimiento 2025. Each fellow will undertake a 4-year predoctoral contract with a salary of 24,550 EUR for years 1–3 and 25,500 EUR in year 4, plus a 7,000 EUR mobility/training grant.

Enrolment fees are covered and visa/relocation support is provided where needed. Fellows must begin January 2027 and enroll in a Doctoral Programme at a partner university (UB/UPC/UPF).

Formación

• Candidates must enter a doctoral programme in January 2027 and hold a university degree and a master’s degree, or an official qualification from an EHEA country with 300 ECTS total, including 60 at master level.
• Strong commitment to scientific research and an excellent academic record.
• Good working knowledge of English.
• Must not yet have been awarded a doctoral degree.
• Must not have held a PhD contract exceeding 12 months by January 2027.
