Job summary

Making Science in Madrid is offering a full-time, six-month paid internship in Cloud Data & Analytics. You’ll collaborate on data architecture and engineering tasks, from data ingestion to governance, while helping to define KPIs and build dashboards across platforms like Google Cloud and BigQuery.

You’ll gain hands-on experience in BI enablement, data quality, and cross-team collaboration, with flexible hours and a focus on ongoing learning in a dynamic, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing final years of a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a technical field.
• Strong SQL and interest in Data Warehousing (DWH) and Datamarts.
• Experience with Python or Java through academic projects or internships.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Looker, Tableau, or QlikSense.

Responsibilities

• Data Architecture & Implementation: design and implement data solutions in Big Data environments on platforms like Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Data Engineering: support data integration projects, including ingestion, ETL/ELT, and ensuring pipeline integrity.
• Data Governance & Quality: learn and apply data quality standards and assist in control mechanisms.
• BI & Analytics Enablement: define and manage KPIs and develop dashboards to support decision-making.
• Collaboration: communicate with teams to translate data needs into technical solutions.
