GMV in Tres Cantos, Spain is looking for experienced backend developers to work on satellite control center projects. You will design and develop micro-services with a focus on Java, deploying solutions in Kubernetes.

We are expanding our teams in the space sector to take on satellite control center projects.

WHAT CHALLENGE WILL YOU BE TAKING ON?

As part of our team, you’ll be responsible for designing, developing, and evolving a satellite control centre based on micro‑services architectures deployed on Kubernetes. You’ll work in a multidisciplinary team that integrates legacy backend solutions with cloud‑native technologies, delivering scalable, resilient, and secure systems.

You will participate in the development of micro‑services in C++ and Java/Quarkus, design GraphQL APIs, and implement event‑driven integrations with Kafka. Your contributions will shape the architecture, observability, and security of services in highly demanding distributed environments.

WHAT DO WE NEED IN OUR TEAM?

• Graduates with at least 4–5 years of experience in backend development.
• Solid background in Java and experience with micro‑services architectures and event‑driven messaging systems such as Kafka.
• Knowledge of Docker containers and orchestration with Kubernetes.
• Experience designing and developing REST and/or GraphQL APIs.
• Familiarity with continuous integration, Git version control, and security best practices for backend development.
