Fusion Consulting, a global Life Sciences boutique, is seeking a detail-oriented Back End Node.js Developer to join our Barcelona engineering team. You will design, develop and maintain server-side applications, collaborating with front-end, product and operations to deliver scalable solutions.

You will implement robust databases, write clean code, conduct reviews, and participate in architecture discussions.

Formación

• Strong understanding of RESTful API design and implementation
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB, MySQL)
• Solid knowledge of version control systems, particularly Git
• Experience with asynchronous programming and event-driven architecture
• Familiarity with server-side frameworks and libraries (e.g., Express.js, Fastify)
• Understanding of software development best practices and design patterns
• Proven ability to write organized, efficient, and well-documented code

Responsabilidades

• Design and implement efficient database solutions, including schema design and query optimization
• Write clean, maintainable code following established coding standards and best practices
• Collaborate with front-end developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver integrated solutions
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members to maintain code quality
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues in a systematic and organized manner
• Implement and maintain automated testing frameworks to ensure application stability and reduce bugs
• Participate in system architecture discussions and contribute to technical decision-making
• Monitor application performance and implement optimizations to enhance efficiency
• Document code, APIs, and technical processes for team knowledge sharing and future reference
