Haddock seeks a seasoned integrations engineer to own and scale data integrations, collaborate with customers, and drive architecture decisions. You will contribute to building observability, data pipelines, and AI-powered workflows within a fast-paced startup. This hybrid Barcelona role emphasizes autonomy and impact.

You will work closely with product and customers to deliver reliable integrations and improve our tooling while embracing Lean Startup and Agile principles.

Formación

• 3+ years of engineering experience in scaling SaaS.

Can you be a haddock engineer?

What is Integrations at haddock?

At haddock, integrations are a pillar of our success. Through integrations, we can aggregate data from their restaurant businesses, and then our AI Agents and our customers can obtain insights and make decisions.

Integrations with ERPs, Point of Sale, and other sources of information are a foundational piece of haddock. Since there are always new integrations we want to make to improve our product, and also an integrations backlog of systems from new customers that we want to serve, we're in the process of becoming really good at integrating.

Besides, we are highly AI empowered in terms of implementing and maintaining integrations. And we want to be much more. The integrations squad eventually will orchestrate lots of AI agents to scope, assess and implement new integrations, while also focusing on scalability, reliability, data modeling and cost effective architecture design.

Have to led projects and teams before?

Eventually, the Integrations squad will become a stable team with an engineering lead / manager. If you've already had this experience and want to continue doing it, great!

If not, come aboard and we'll grow you into a lead.

Example work

• Orchestrating an agent to implement an integration with a new Point of Sale, such as SumUp, or improving it to support new features.
• Refactoring the data schema for storing orders to add support for tips in Italy.
• Scoping how we could integrate with an accounting ERP, such as A3.
• Building observability tooling for integration data pipelines.
• Creating user flows, maybe powered by AI, to smooth out as much as possible the manual process of connecting haddock with another software.

Requirements

3+ years of engineering experience in scaling SaaS companies.

Experience building and maintaining different kinds of integrations.

Good judgement for data modelling, system design, and software architecture patterns.

Very good use of AI tooling: you have developed good judgement (criterio) when using IA and are very productive with it.

Fluent in Spanish and comfortable in English. We tend to speak in Spanish at the office and in Slack, and write documentation and projects in English.

Our Hiring Process

We move fast and communicate openly. Our goal is to wrap up the process within a week. Here's what to expect:

2. Call with Pol (co-founder, CEO), 25 mins.
3. Technical interviews with Guillermo and another engineer (2 hours). Part 1: architectural solution thinking, and part 2: AI‑assisted live coding of an MVP.
4. Final call with Arnau (co-founder, CEO), 25 mins.
