Job summary

Camlin Group is seeking a Backend Software Engineer to join our energy data platform. You will design and maintain backend microservices, build APIs using FastAPI, and collaborate with Frontend, Data, DevOps, and Scrum Master to deliver robust solutions.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years’ experience as a Backend Software Engineer.
• Experience designing, developing, and implementing REST APIs using FastAPI or similar frameworks.
• Experience working with SQL databases.
• Practical knowledge of Linux, including command‑line tools and Bash scripting.
• Practical understanding of modern application deployment infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
• Fluency in English, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable backend microservices
• Maintain existing applications and support migration to modern Python frameworks
• Develop and maintain automated unit and component tests
• Contribute to Camlin’s software development strategies and technical direction
• Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies, design sessions, and technical discussions
• Support and improve application CI/CD pipelines
• Design and implement secure application architectures and security best practices
