Job summary

Openbank is seeking a Backend Developer / Integration Engineer to design, develop, and integrate secure, scalable backend solutions for banking processes using microservices, APIs, and cloud-native architectures.

Based in Madrid or Valladolid, you will collaborate with Cybersecurity, Architecture, and Cloud teams, contribute to CI/CD, and ensure compliance with security and quality standards while advancing automation and AI-driven development.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of backend and integration experience.
• Strong knowledge of Java 17+, Spring Boot, Spring JPA, Spring Security, microservices, APIs, and cloud/containerized environments.
• Experience in banking processes: Risk Management, Compliance, and third-party integrations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
• English and Spanish proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and integrate backend solutions based on microservices and APIs.
• Collaborate with Cybersecurity, Architecture, and Cloud teams to meet standards.
• Contribute to CI/CD, code reviews, testing, and security reinforcement.
• Support banking processes including AML, GDPR compliance, and third-party integrations.
• Advance automation and AI-driven development across the lifecycle.
