Kureos is seeking a Backend/Platform Engineer to build scalable services that connect applications, data and infrastructure. You’ll work across software engineering, data platforms and cloud infrastructure, delivering robust APIs, data integration, and reliable platform tooling.

The role requires 7+ years of experience with Python/C#/Java, cloud experience (Azure preferred) and strong DevOps practices. Hybrid work arrangement with potential Madrid presence is noted.

Formación

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong backend development skills in Python, C#, Java or a similar language.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure and services, ideally Azure.
• Practical knowledge of Kubernetes, CI/CD and modern DevOps practices.
• Working experience with databases, preferably PostgreSQL.
• Understanding of data integration, workflow orchestration and distributed systems.
• A pragmatic, analytical approach to complex engineering challenges.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to influence technical and business stakeholders.
• Fluency in English (C1 or better); Spanish is advantageous.

Join a high-impact technology team shaping the software and data infrastructure behind critical energy and trading processes. As a Backend Engineer / Platform Engineer, you’ll help build reliable, scalable services that connect applications, data and infrastructure across the organisation.

This is a hands-on opportunity for an experienced backend engineer who enjoys solving complex problems, designing pragmatic solutions and working across the boundaries of software engineering, data platforms and cloud infrastructure.

What you’ll do :
