Job summary

Morningstar, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Vice President for its DBRS Private Credit team in Madrid. The role focuses on evaluating creditworthiness of mid-sized companies and delivering in-depth research and commentary.

You will collaborate with the US/Canada team and interact with issuers, investors and bankers. The candidate should have 4–5 years of credit analysis experience, strong communication skills, and a proactive, team-oriented mindset in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 4–5 years of experience in credit analysis or corporate lending.
• CFA designation or progress toward completion is desirable.
• Strong written and verbal communication and ability to express credit opinions clearly.

Responsibilities

• Cover a broad range of mid-sized corporations with varying credit profiles.
• Produce timely, high-quality credit research, rating reports and commentaries.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, investors and bankers.
• Lead rating committee discussions and refine research processes and tools.
• Update and maintain related databases as required.
• Collaborate with Team Leader and Middle Market team across locations.
• Coordinate with Issuers and market participants to discuss credit topics.
• Ensure compliance with ethics and conflicts of interest policies.
