ALG - Transport and infrastructure invites a Consultant to join either Madrid or Barcelona office. You will contribute to digitalization strategies, develop AI/ML algorithms, and perform advanced analytics across transport and infrastructure projects.

The role involves working with cloud-based big data architectures and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver value for clients worldwide.

Formación

• Masters degree from a top-tier university in Aeronautical/ Naval/ Civil Engineering or Math/ Physics/ Statistics/ Computer Science; MiM desirable.
• Big Data / Data science experience is desirable and required
• Experience programming in Python/R/Matlab/Scala/C++/Java and eagerness to learn more
• Cloud architectures in AWS/Azure/GCP desirable
• Machine learning experience and database familiarity desirable
• Transport consultancy experience desirable but not required
• High level of self-reliance and work capacity
• Fluent Spanish and English required; other languages desirable
• Availability to travel
• Enthusiasm and dedication for transport consultancy

ALG is a leading global consultancy team with 35 years of professional experience working alongside the top players in the transport sector (operators, infrastructure developers and investors, etc.), advising them on how to better prepare to respond to strategic, capacity, infrastructure and operational challenges

Currently, we are looking for a Consultant to join our team inour Madrid or Barcelona office.

Your role

As a Consultant, you will be part of one of the top transport and infrastructure consulting companies and you could become an industry-leading subject matter expert or a trusted advisor to senior client management on a wide range of issues.

You will be responsible for:

• Definition of digitalization/automation strategies for operations or particular business processes
• Development of artificial intelligence / Machine learning algorithms that add value to our customers
• Perform advanced analytics to support operational and strategic consulting projects
• Support the definition and implementation of big data architectures for cloud environments.

Our digital team works in projects both hand in hand with other practices within the organization (operations, strategy…) to provide the client with best-in-class recommendations but as well in developing purely Big Data and Data Science projects, from cloud architecting to development of complex machine learning algorithms to add value to our clients business.

This team is transversal to all modes of transportation but each member can be specialized to one or multiple modes.

Desired Skills and Experience

• Master degree from a top-tier university program preferably in Aeronautical Engineering, Naval Engineering, Civil Engineering and/or Mathematics / Physics / Statistics / Computer science. MiM is desirable.
• Big Data / Data science experience is desirable and required:
• Experience programming in one or more languages, including Python, R, Matlab, Scala, C++ or Java and eagerness to learn more
• Coursework or experience in working and/or setting up Big data architectures, particularly in cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, GCP is desirable
• Coursework or proven experience in machine learning and working with databases is desirable but not required
• Transportation consultancy experience is desirable but not required
• High level of self-reliance and work capacity.
• Fluent Spanish and English is required and other language are desirable. (Oral and written skills)
• Availability to travel.
• Enthusiasm and dedication for transport consultancy.
