Job summary

Nanogical, a Madrid-based deep-tech company, is seeking a Junior Software & Hardware Integration Engineer to support hardware development and automation of their measurement system. You will build software to control instrumentation, electronics, sensors, actuators, and positioning systems, and work closely with the R&D team in a hands-on lab environment.

The role emphasizes software for hardware control, automation, and integration, with opportunities to work directly on real measurement

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, Industrial or Computer Engineering, or a related field.
Fundamentals of electronics and instrumentation.
Basic knowledge of signal acquisition and processing.
Understanding of hardware-software integration.
Ability to understand and troubleshoot experimental systems.
Interest in working directly with hardware and developing control and automation systems for scientific instrumentation.

Responsibilities

Developing software for hardware control and integration.
Automating signal acquisition and measurement workflows.
Communicating with instrumentation through APIs, drivers and communication protocols.
Integrating sensors, actuators, positioning systems and acquisition electronics.
Developing automated calibration, alignment and characterization routines.
Synchronizing motion, acquisition and data processing.
Implementing diagnostic tools, logging and error handling.
Supporting laboratory testing and validation of new functionalities.
