Shipco IT seeks a dedicated Associate - Quality Analyst in Barcelona to safeguard software quality across our logistics platforms. You will define testing scopes with stakeholders, design comprehensive test cases, and drive both manual and automated testing efforts geared toward robust releases.

Your experience with TestIM/Selenium, Java or JavaScript, and Agile methodologies will help you construct reliable test plans, automate regression suites, and coordinate defect resolution with

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of proven experience as a Quality Analyst, Software Tester, or similar role.
• Experience in manual testing and automation with tools like TestIM or Selenium.
• Proficiency in Java or JavaScript and understanding of OOP concepts.
• Experience with GitHub and Agile/Scrum processes.

• Test Scope Definition & Stakeholder Collaboration: define testing scope with stakeholders and align with requirements.
• Test Case Design & Prioritization: create and prioritize test cases to cover product risks and critical features.
• Test Automation & Regression Suite Development: build and maintain automation scripts and regression suites to improve coverage.
• Defect Management & Resolution Coordination: log, track, and coordinate defect resolution with development teams.

What You'll Do...

• Test Scope Definition & Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business stakeholders to define and clarify testing scope, ensuring full alignment with requirements and product objectives.
• Test Case Design & Prioritization: Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test cases based on detailed specifications, prioritizing conditions that address product risks and critical features. Comprehensive Testing Execution: Perform various levels of testing - including system, functional, regression, non-functional, database, and API/microservices testing - to ensure quality across all aspects of delivery.
• Test Automation & Regression Suite Development: Develop and maintain automation scripts and regression suites, where applicable, to enhance test efficiency and coverage.
• Defect Management & Resolution Coordination: Identify, log, and track software defects and inconsistencies; prepare detailed defect reports and coordinate resolution efforts with development teams.
• Cross-Team Collaboration & Documentation: Partner with product development and testing teams to ensure timely, high-quality project delivery while maintaining clear and comprehensive documentation.
• Adaptability & Continuous Learning: Stay current with emerging QA tools, technologies, and practices, applying them effectively to meet evolving business and project needs.

What You’ll Need...

• Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Computer Science or a related field, with equivalent experience considered.
• Minimum 3 years of proven experience as a Quality Analyst, Software Tester, or similar role, with expertise in manual testing and automation (preferably using TestIM, Selenium, or similar tools) to convert manual test cases into automated ones.
• In-depth understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes, with hands-on experience preparing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
• Familiarity with core programming languages such as Java or JavaScript, and a good understanding of OOP concepts (good to have).
• Experience with version control systems such as GitHub and practical exposure to Agile/Scrum development processes.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a solid understanding of application logic and detail-oriented testing practices.
• Excellent organizational, documentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.
