Job summary

Datavant is seeking an Associate Product Manager to join our Life Sciences Product team in Barcelona, reporting to the Senior Director of Product. You will support the Record Retrieval and Data Discovery initiatives, helping customers build datasets from medical records and evaluating data sources for Life Sciences research.

You’ll work with Engineering, Design, Delivery, and commercial teams to turn customer needs into deliverables, write clear requirements, and help drive the roadmap with

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in product management or adjacent roles.
• Ability to break a well-defined problem into practical steps and write clearly.
• Strong organization and communication skills with clear written and spoken English.
• Curiosity about customers and ability to use feedback to improve a feature or workflow.
• Collaborative approach with Engineering, Design, Delivery, and commercial teams.
• Interest in learning Datavant’s healthcare data ecosystem, privacy and regulatory considerations.

Responsibilities

• Support Record Retrieval customers and commitments.
• Track product issues and delivery needs with customer-facing teams.
• Help prioritize fixes within the approved investment plan.
• Keep Record Retrieval performance and scope visible.
• Gather product health, delivery effort, and commercial results for investment reviews.
• Deliver defined Data Discovery improvements across Insights reporting, Explore Assistant, and Datavant Connect.
• Participate in customer discovery and stakeholder discussions.
• Write clear requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Organize and follow through on delivery: manage backlog and milestones.
• Keep teams and stakeholders informed.
• Support feature validation, rollout, and adoption.
• Use AI tools thoughtfully throughout product development.
