Atlantica Sustainable Infrastructure Plc is seeking an Asset Performance Engineer to monitor and optimize solar PV and BESS assets across international projects. You will define KPIs, perform root-cause analyses, and drive corrective actions with O&M teams to maximize energy production and asset value.

Formación

• Degree in Electrical Engineering with PV/BESS experience.
• BESS technical experience covering system architecture, degradation, performance warranties, safety, and operational risk management is highly desirable.
• PMP, CAPM, Lean Six Sigma, or equivalent project/improvement-management credentials are advantageous.

We are currently recruiting a Asset Performance Engineer to join our team and contribute to key projects in a dynamic and collaborative environment. This role is part of a global team working towardcommon goals. We operate as one company, across all locations, with shared responsibility andclear accountability.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor the performance of solar photovoltaic plants and BESS systems using SCADA, EMS, and other monitoring tools.

Education & Certifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering with relevant experience in PV and/or BESS.
  
• Demonstrable BESS technical experience/certifications covering system architecture, battery degradation, performance warranties, safety, and operational risk management is highly desirable.
  
• PMP, CAPM, Lean Six Sigma, or equivalent project/improvement-management credentials are advantageous.

Experience & Technical Skills

• Desirable 3-6 years’ experience in the solar PV and/or BESS sector, ideally within a developer, asset management company, or engineering company
  
• Solid background in managing PV/BESS portfolios, performance analysis, and root cause identification of site issues
  
• Demonstrable experience with BESS system manufacturers, integrators, or EPC contractors. Knowledge of the complete architecture of a BESS system
  
• Experience working in international environments is considered an advantage.
  
• Proficiency in English - mandatory
  
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, PBI). Experience using PVsyst.
  
• Availability to travel internationally
• Analytical skills and attention to detail.
  
• Execution capabilities. Capacity to drive projects, overcome issues, manage stakeholders, and make things happen.
  
• Project management. Experience coordinating cross-functional initiatives and ensuring timely delivery.
  
• Excellent communication and presentation skills (in English and Spanish)
  
• Curiosity, willingness to learn new approaches to problems.
