CTGE is seeking a BESS Project Manager to lead utility-scale battery energy storage system projects from NTP to COD, coordinating internal teams, EPCs, OEMs, and authorities while ensuring safety, schedule, and cost targets.

The role requires 3+ years in PM with 10+ years related experience in EPC renewable energy, a STEM degree, English at B2, and strong multi-disciplinary coordination skills. Occasional travel to project sites is expected.

Formación

• Minimum 3 years in Project Management roles.
• At least 10 years of related working experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• English, at least B2 Level.
• Demonstrable experience as Project Manager roles in EPC renewable energy projects (from the RtB to the COD phases).
• Demonstrable direct responsibility in managing multi-disciplinary teams; project stakeholders' coordination; project construction and commissioning coordination; project budget and cost control management.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the execution and delivery of utility-scale BESS projects from Notice to Proceed through commissioning, testing, and COD.
• Act as the primary point of contact between internal departments, EPC contractors, OEMs, consultants, grid operators, authorities, and other project stakeholders.
• Develop, maintain, and monitor project execution plans, schedules, budgets, risk registers, and resource plans throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate internal stakeholders to ensure milestones are achieved; monitor external stakeholders ensuring contractual obligations, HSE standards, quality requirements, and project specs.
• Implement mitigation measures and corrective actions when necessary.
• Review and manage contracts, change orders, claims, variations, and commercial matters in coordination with legal, procurement, and finance teams. Support procurement activities.
• Ensure all permitting, environmental, interconnection, land, and regulatory requirements are fulfilled throughout project execution.
• Coordinate technical reviews including detailed engineering, equipment approvals, FAT, SAT, and commissioning procedures.
• Oversee construction activities on-site, ensuring adherence to approved designs, construction standards, quality plans, and safety procedures.
• Ensure effective interface management between BESS systems, substations, transmission infrastructure, SCADA, EMS, and other plant components.
• Promote a strong HSE culture and ensure continuous compliance with company policies, local regulations, and industry best practices.
• Willingness to travel extensively and be based near project sites during critical project phases.

We are looking for a BESS Project Manager for our Production & Operation Department and to manage our current construction & commissioning projects.

Functions & Responsibilities:

• Lead the execution and delivery of utility-scale BESS projects from Notice to Proceed (NTP) through commissioning, testing, and Commercial Operation Date (COD); ensuring safe, on schedule, within budget, and compliance delivery. Ensure a smooth and complete transition of projects from construction to Operations & Maintenance teams.
• Act as the primary point of contact between internal departments, EPC contractors, OEMs, consultants, grid operators, authorities, and other project stakeholders.
• Develop, maintain, and monitor project execution plans, schedules, budgets, risk registers, and resource plans throughout the project lifecycle. Arrangement of regular meetings providing accurate reports.
• Coordinating Internal Stakeholders to ensure project milestones are achieved; Monitoring External Stakeholders ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, HSE standards, quality requirements, and project specifications.
• Implementing mitigation measures and corrective actions when necessary.
• Review and manage contracts, change orders, claims, variations, and commercial matters in coordination with legal, procurement, and finance teams. Support procurement activities.
• Ensure all permitting, environmental, interconnection, land, and regulatory requirements are fulfilled throughout project execution.
• Coordinate technical reviews including detailed engineering, equipment approvals, factory acceptance tests (FAT), site acceptance tests (SAT), and commissioning procedures. Coordinate testing activities to ensure contractual guarantees and technical performance requirements are achieved.
• Oversee construction activities on-site, ensuring adherence to approved designs, construction standards, quality plans, and safety procedures.
• Ensure effective interface management between BESS systems, substations, transmission infrastructure, SCADA, EMS, and other plant components.
• Promote a strong HSE culture and ensure continuous compliance with company policies, local regulations, and industry best practices.
• Willingness to travel extensively and be based near project sites during critical project phases.
• Additional Key Competencies for a BESS Project Manager

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years in Project Management roles.
• At least 10 years of related working experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• English, at least B2 Level
• H&S intermediate course will be highly valued.
• Demonstrable experience as Project Manager roles in EPC renewable energy projects (from the RtB to the COD phases).
• Demonstrable direct responsibility in: Managing complex multi-disciplinary teams; Project stakeholders' coordination; Project construction and commissioning coordination; Project budget and cost control management; Supporting to procurement and contracting.
• Understanding of utility-scale Battery Energy Storage Systems, MV/HV electrical infrastructure, substations, SCADA, EMS, PPC and grid-connection requirements.
• Knowledge of lithium-ion battery technologies, fire protection systems, and BESS commissioning processes.
• Strong project management capabilities.
• Strong ability to read and review electrical single-line diagrams, protection schemes, civil drawings, and technical engineering documents and specifications.
• Experience with Primavera P6, MS Project, SAP, and Microsoft Office Suite is highly desirable.
