Sulzer is seeking an Accounting Officer in Madrid to support accounting operations, AR collections, and financial reporting. This early‑career role involves data entry, reconciliations, and ensuring accuracy while adhering to Sulzer guidelines.

You will work with the CoE Team Leader and local Finance to optimize overdue collections, analyze credit risk, and help standardize AR processes across the group in a dynamic, international environment.

Formación

• Financial background with good understanding of OTC processes.
• Fluent English is a must; German, French, Italian or any other European language will be an advantage.
• Some experience working in Cash Collections, or Accounts receivable in Financial Shared Services organization is a plus.
• SAP & FSCM (Collection and Disputes) experience is also a plus.
• Results oriented; Time management and ability to meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and oral communication, and conflict resolution skills.

Responsabilidades

• Take action to reduce AR overdue in the legal entities under your responsibility.
• Proactively follow up the collections process for assigned customer accounts via phone and email.
• Identify and resolve disputes impacting customer payments and coordinate with stakeholders for quick resolution.
• Define efficient collection strategies with CoE Team Leader and ensure compliance with guidelines.
• Follow up on LE overdue results, support KPI calculation and maintain AR records.
• Participate in meetings with LE stakeholders and escalate AR-related issues when required.
• Assist in migrating new customers and LEs to the CoE Madrid scope.
• Support standardization of AR collection processes across the group.
• Act as SME for Sulzer in AR Collections and share best practices with the Group.
• Identify improvement opportunities related to collections activities with Legal Entity Stakeholders.
• Credit risk analysis and credit rating assessment of customers using external tools and reports.
• Define and recommend credit limits per Sulzer policies and monitor credit exposure.
• Coordinate with Sales and local Finance on credit management.
