Job summary

Amazon Science in Madrid is seeking a passionate Scientist with a strong ML background to build industry-leading ML solutions. You will partner with business teams to translate requirements into deliverables, including design, development, testing, and deployment of scalable distributed services.

You will work with state-of-the-art models, including image-to-text, multimodal LLMs, and GenAI, to improve catalog data quality and customer experiences. This role offers high impact across Europe.

Qualifications

• PhD, or a Master's degree and experience in CS, CE, ML or related field.
• Experience in building models for business application.
• Experience in patents or publications at top-tier peer-reviewed conferences or journals.
• Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language.
• Experience in algorithms and data structures, parsing, numerical optimization, data mining, parallel and distributed computing, high‑performance computing.

Responsibilities

• Translate business and functional requirements into concrete deliverables, including design, development, testing, and deployment of scalable distributed services.
• Work with business leaders, scientists, and product managers to identify opportunities for innovation.
• Apply machine learning solutions to automate manual processes and improve data quality.
• Collaborate on solving data quality issues at scale and influence the scientific roadmap.
