Job summary

Planner 5D is seeking an AI/ML Researcher to advance applied AI for home design products. You will work with diverse data (images, 3D data, text, video) to formulate hypotheses, run experiments, and build prototypes that can become production features.

Responsibilities include training and evaluating models, collaborating with engineers to deploy solutions, and advancing AI-driven features such as vision systems and multimodal agents. A strong math/computer science foundation is essential.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in AI/ML research or applied ML
• Strong math and CS background (stats, optimization, linear algebra)
• Experience with real-world datasets and model evaluation
• Proficiency in Python and ML libraries (NumPy, SciPy, Pandas)
• Experience with TensorFlow or PyTorch

Responsibilities

• Conduct applied AI/ML research for home design related problems
• Work with raw data (images, 3D data, text, video) to identify signals
• Design experiments, test hypotheses, build prototypes/MVPs
• Train, evaluate and iterate ML models
• Collaborate with engineers to productionize research prototypes
• Provide algorithmic support for deployed models
