Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) in Madrid seeks an Application Observability Engineer to design and implement advanced observability for critical applications. You will configure metrics, logs, traces, dashboards, and alerts, while partnering with DevOps, Cloud, and Infra teams to boost reliability.

You will leverage Grafana, Splunk, OpenTelemetry, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS/Azure, and AI-driven monitoring to optimize performance and support on-call operations.

Formación

• 5–10 years in Observability, Monitoring, SRE or DevOps.
• Degree or FP in a related field, with strong technical foundations.
• Hands-on withGrafana/Splunk/AppDynamics/Centreon/Prometheus or similar.
• Knowledge of metrics, logs, distributed tracing, and APM.
• Experience with cloud-native environments and automation tools.

We are looking for a dynamic, proactive and talented person to join our team and perform the following tasks:

• Design, implement, and configure application observability solutions.
• Monitor enterprise applications, infrastructure, and business-critical services in real time.
• Configure and optimize metrics, logs, traces, dashboards, alerts, and reporting capabilities.
• Support end-to-end observability initiatives using modern APM and monitoring platforms.
• Identify, investigate, and troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and reliability issues.
• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and recommend long-term improvements.
• Collaborate with Development, DevOps, Cloud, and Infrastructure teams to improve platform reliability.
• Drive proactive monitoring strategies leveraging predictive analytics, automation, and AIOps practices.

WHAT (TECHNOLOGIES/METHODOLOGIES/TOOLS) WILL YOU USE?

• Grafana, Centreon, Splunk, New Relic, AppDynamics, Elastic Observability and Prometheus.
• OpenTelemetry, Jaeger and Zipkin.
• ELK Stack and LogicMonitor.
• Python, Bash, PowerShell, Terraform and Ansible.
• CI/CD Pipelines and DevOps Methodologies.
• Docker and Kubernetes.
• AWS and Microsoft Azure.
• Microservices, Distributed Systems and AIOps Platforms.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

• Years' experience: 5-10 years in Observability, Monitoring, SRE, DevOps, or a similar role.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline; alternatively, Higher Vocational Training (FP) in a relevant technical field.
• Hands-on experience with one or more observability platforms such as Grafana, Splunk, AppDynamics, Centreon, New Relic, Elastic Observability, or Prometheus.
• Strong understanding of observability fundamentals including metrics, logs, and distributed tracing.
• Experience with APM technologies and tracing frameworks such as OpenTelemetry, Jaeger, or Zipkin.
• Experience supporting cloud-native and distributed environments.
• Knowledge of scripting and automation using Python, Bash, PowerShell, Terraform, and/or Ansible.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, Azure, and modern DevOps practices.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Observability, Cloud, Kubernetes, or DevOps certifications are highly desirable.
• English: Intermediate (B2) or higher.
• Spanish: Professional working proficiency is a plus.

WHERE AND WHEN?

• Workplace: Madrid
• Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 18:00, with on-call participation when required.
• Hybrid Model: Up to 60% remote working.
