Festo is seeking an API Project Manager for Online Business in Barcelona to drive the growth of its digital sales channel and improve the online customer experience across markets.

You will coordinate with IT, development teams and regional teams, ensuring KPI-driven workflows, data-informed decisions and ongoing optimization of APIs, integrations and processes.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, E-Commerce, Business Development, Marketing.
• Initial professional experience in E-Commerce, Online Business, Business Development or Project Management.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with ability to translate data into action.

Role Description

As a member of the global Online Business team you will be driving the growth of our digital sales channel and increase digital experience through our platforms and services aligned with the global digital strategy and local market needs. You will play a key role in steering assigned clusters, monitoring business performance and managing cross-functional projects to enhance our online business and customer experience.

You will guide clusters to foster digital transformation in the market with focus on strong collaboration across clusters and global functions, clear KPIs and continuous optimization of workflows.

• Support the integration and optimization of API projects and act as a business partner in translating market requirements into technical specifications while collaborating closely with IT and development teams.
• Monitor and analyze API performance, data flows and system integrations to ensure seamless customer and business processes.
• Identify opportunities to leverage APIs and automation to improve operational efficiency, customer experience and digital sales performance.
• Drive and monitor the performance of dedicated clusters within our online business organization.
• Analyze key business and e-commerce KPIs to identify trends, opportunities and areas for improvement.
• Support the implementation of new tools, processes and digital initiatives across markets.
• Develop and implement initiatives to improve sales, conversion, profitability and customer engagement.
• Collaborate closely with local market teams and central stakeholders to ensure alignment on business objectives.
• Support strategic decision-making through data-driven analyses and business insights.
• Build and implement training and playbooks to translate corporate digital objectives into cluster-level initiatives.
• Capture lessons learned from clusters and institutionalize best practices across clusters within the global Online Business team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, E-Commerce, Business Development, Marketing, or a related field.
• Initial professional experience in E-Commerce, Online Business, Business Development, Project Management, or a comparable area.
• Good understanding of APIs, system integrations and data exchange technologies combined with a forward-looking market perspective, enabling the development of future-ready digital partnerships and platform strategies.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable business recommendations.
• Excellent organizational and project management capabilities.
• Proactive, solution-oriented, and able to work independently in an international environment.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent in English; German and other language skills are considered a strong advantage.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams involving IT, development, product management or digital platform providers.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical use cases and effectively communicate with both business and technical stakeholders.
• Experience with e-commerce platform integrations, marketplaces, CRM, ERP or marketing technology ecosystems is considered a strong advantage.
