Airbus Defence and Space SAU in Getafe (Madrid) seeks an Airworthiness Engineer to join the Eurofighter Airworthiness Team. The role focuses on certification approvals, interface with airworthiness authorities, and DOA-related activities to support customer acceptance.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Engineering (Aerospace preferred), 2–3 years in airworthiness matters, strong English and Spanish, and is willing to travel.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Aerospace a plus).
• At least 2–3 years of experience in Engineering and Airworthiness related matters; experience with airworthiness authorities and/or customers.
• Soft skills: empathic, positive and proactive attitude, problem solving and critical thinking. Curious, team player, proactive.
• Languages: Advanced level of English and Spanish with oral fluency.
• Availability to travel.

Job Description: An opportunity for an Airworthiness Engineer has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space, Getafe (Madrid). The selected candidate will join the Eurofighter Airworthiness Team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The main tasks of the jobholder will be:

• Lead and conduct the Certification approvals of Airbus product and product changes with Primary Authority, and validation of these approval by importing countries Authorities.
• Act as an interface to Airworthiness authorities for all aspects of Certification activities.
• Perform certification approvals in accordance with Airbus Design Organization Approval (DOA) privileges.
• Support acceptance of individual aircraft by customer and their local authorities.
• Define and defend Airbus position within Stand.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree on Engineering (Aerospace a plus)
• Experience: At least 2-3 years. Previous working experience in Engineering and Airworthiness related matters. Experience with dealing with Airworthiness Authorities and/or customers. Past Technical Experience on one of the following areas: Powerplant; Communication Systems/Avionics; Airframe-Structure; General Systems (electrical, ECS, etc).
• Soft skills: Empathic, positive and proactive attitude, problem solving and critical thinking. Curious (never stops learning), team player. Proactivity.
• Languages: Advanced level of English and Spanish with oral fluency.
• Technical knowledge: Microsoft Office and administration advanced skills.
• Availability to travel.
