Airbus Defence and Space in Getafe (Madrid) seeks a Derivatives Electrical Installation Designer to contribute to the physical installation of aircraft electrical systems, focusing on harnesses, equipment installation, and integration within the spacecraft layout. The role requires engineering expertise, CATIA proficiency, and strong collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or related discipline.
• At least 5 years in engineering; experience in electrical installation design and aircraft systems integration valued.
• Experience with CATIA for installation design and integration.
• Strong adaptability and ability to work in a changing technical environment.
• Professional level Spanish and English to participate in meetings.

Responsibilities

• Design and validate electrical harnesses and equipment installations from architecture through manufacturing support and in-service activities.
• Translate electrical requirements into feasible and integrable installation solutions within the aircraft.
• Define location, routing and integration of electrical elements considering aircraft constraints and design principles.
• Develop and work on electrical installation designs using CATIA.
• Collaborate with electrical definition teams and other engineering departments to ensure consistency between requirements and physical implementation.
• Interface with stakeholders and adapt installation solutions as the aircraft design evolves.
