Job summary

Wizeline is seeking a talented software engineer to develop and enhance a translation platform and related services, integrating AI/LLM-based translation capabilities into Dow Jones’ content-processing ecosystem. You will build reliable APIs and services for translation requests, support event-driven processing, and work with Dow Jones engineers on technical design, testing and documentation.

Qualifications

Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot development.
Experience with REST APIs and microservices.
Cloud-based development experience, preferably Google Cloud Platform.
Familiarity with Kafka or event-driven architectures.
Hands-on with LLM/AI-based applications and APIs.
Experience in machine translation or multilingual content processing.
Ability to integrate with large enterprise platforms.
Automated testing, monitoring, and production support.
Git, CI/CD, code reviews, and Agile methodologies.
Excellent communication skills (English and technical).

Responsibilities

Develop and enhance the translation platform and related services.

Support event-driven processing and integration with existing Dow Jones content pipelines.
Implement error handling, retries, monitoring, and logging for operational capabilities.
Develop automated tests and validation mechanisms for translation workflows.
Support performance and scalability improvements as translation volume increases.
Assist with production deployment, troubleshooting, and operational support.
Collaborate with Dow Jones engineers and stakeholders on design, implementation, testing, and documentation.
Contribute to platform evolution for future international expansion.

Responsibilities:

Develop and enhance the translation platform and associated services.
Integrate AI/LLM-based translation capabilities into Dow Jones’ content-processing ecosystem.
Support direct integration with selected LLM/translation providers and evaluate opportunities to improve translation quality, scalability, cost, and latency.
Build reliable APIs and services for translation requests and results.
Support event-driven processing and integration with existing Dow Jones content pipelines.
Implement appropriate error handling, retries, monitoring, logging, and operational capabilities.
Develop automated tests and validation mechanisms for translation workflows.
Support performance and scalability improvements as translation volume increases.
Assist with production deployment, troubleshooting, and operational support.
Collaborate with Dow Jones engineers and stakeholders on technical design, implementation, testing, and documentation.
Contribute to the evolution of the platform so that it can support future WSJ international expansion and additional languages and content types.
