Job summary

Altia is seeking an AI Software Engineer in Bilbao, Spain to design and develop AI agent tooling and automation solutions. You will work on platforms that transform how software is built, operated and documented, combining hands-on software engineering with exploration of new AI tools and architectures.

You will join a specialized team focusing on LLM integration, automation, and observability, contributing to scalable, high-quality AI-enabled software delivery.

Qualifications

• 4–5 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong Python development experience.
• Experience in software testing and best practices.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines and automation.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs and AI agents.
• Knowledge of agent frameworks, tool integration, context management, and evaluation of output quality, costs, and latency.
• Proficient in APIs and Git.
• English level B2 or higher.

What we're looking for

• At least 4–5 years of professional experience in software development and automation.
• Strong knowledge of software development using Python.
• Experience in software testing and best practices.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines and implementing automation solutions.
• Hands‑on experience integrating Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI agents.
• Knowledge of agent frameworks, tool integration, context management, and evaluation of output quality, costs, and latency.
• Strong scripting skills, systems integration experience, and proficiency in working with APIs.
• Experience using Git for version control.
• English level B2 or higher.

Nice to have

• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and deployment automation.
