Job summary

Softlanding is seeking an experienced AI/ML Engineer to drive data-driven solutions across the organization. You will work with business stakeholders through the full lifecycle of Data Analytics, ML, and AI, translating requirements into scalable technical designs and delivering production-ready implementations.

The role requires strong SQL skills, hands-on ML/AI development, and experience with relational databases and document stores.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Data Analytics, Machine Learning, and/or Artificial Intelligence.
• Experience in Accounting, FP&A, or Asset Portfolio Management domains is highly valued.
• Proven experience delivering solutions within Agile teams.
• Strong hands-on experience implementing ML/AI use cases on relational databases and document stores.
• Expert-level data analysis and SQL programming skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business stakeholders throughout the lifecycle of Data Analytics, ML, and AI solutions.
• Translate business requirements into technical designs aligned with objectives and platform capabilities.
• Design, develop, and implement ML models, AI agents, and automation processes.
• Develop and deploy AI/ML solutions on top of relational databases and document stores.
• Perform advanced data analysis and develop SQL queries to support analytics and AI/ML use cases.
• Design intuitive interfaces for analytics solutions.
• Integrate AI/ML capabilities into existing data platforms and processes.
• Collaborate with QA during SIT and support testing activities.
• Manage production deployments per CI/CD processes and release standards.
• Troubleshoot production issues related to AI/ML assets.
• Contribute to Agile ceremonies and continuous improvement.
• Maintain technical documentation and adherence to standards.

We are looking for an experienced AI/ML Engineer to join our team and drive the implementation of data-driven solutions across the organization. The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders throughout the entire lifecycle of Data Analytics, Machine Learning, and AI solutions, translating business requirements into effective technical designs and delivering production-ready implementations.

The ideal candidate combines strong data analysis and SQL expertise with hands-on experience in developing ML models, AI agents, and automation solutions. Experience in Accounting, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), or Asset Portfolio Management is highly valued.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate directly with business stakeholders throughout the lifecycle of Data Analytics, Machine Learning, and AI solutions.
• Understand business requirements and translate them into technical solution designs aligned with business objectives and platform capabilities.
• Design, develop, and implement ML models, AI agents, and automation processes to address business challenges.
• Develop and deploy AI/ML solutions on top of relational databases and document stores.
• Perform advanced data analysis and develop SQL queries to support analytics and AI/ML use cases.
• Design intuitive and user-friendly interfaces and experiences for analytics solutions.
• Integrate AI/ML capabilities into existing data platforms and business processes.
• Collaborate with QA engineers during System Integration Testing (SIT), supporting testing activities and ensuring solution quality.
• Manage production deployments in accordance with established CI/CD processes and release standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to existing AI/ML assets.
• Contribute to Agile ceremonies, technical discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain technical documentation and ensure adherence to development standards and best practices.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Professional Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Data Analytics, Machine Learning, and/or Artificial Intelligence.
• Experience working on data projects within Accounting, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), or Asset Portfolio Management domains is highly valued.
• Proven experience delivering solutions within Agile teams.

Technical Skills

• Strong hands-on experience implementing ML/AI use cases on relational databases and document stores.
• Expert-level data analysis and SQL programming skills.
• Knowledge of UX/UI design principles for analytics applications and solutions.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD practices, including multi-branch development workflows.
• Ability to design, develop, test, and deploy production-ready AI/ML solutions.
