Job summary

Ferrovial is seeking an internship candidate to join the Artificial Intelligence Center of Excellence within the Digital Hub. You will work alongside Data Scientists and AI Engineers to design, develop, and integrate AI-powered applications, with a focus on agentic AI and Generative AI initiatives.

The role emphasizes hands-on software development in Python, API integration, and experimentation with AI models.

Qualifications

Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Telecommunications, Mathematics, Physics or a related technical field.
Good foundation in Python and software development fundamentals, including modular code, debugging, testing and basic data structures.
Familiarity with REST APIs, JSON and the integration of external services, models or data sources.
Knowledge of Generative AI concepts and basic understanding of LLMs and AI frameworks.

Responsibilities

Support design and development of Generative AI applications and agentic solutions from experimentation to prototypes.
Develop and test Python components and services enabling agents to interact with data sources and APIs.
Experiment with agent orchestration frameworks, LLM APIs, prompt design and retrieval-augmented generation.
Document solutions and communicate results to business teams and end users.
Collaborate with Data Scientists and AI Engineers to integrate AI capabilities into scalable products.
Participate in events and knowledge-sharing within the Digital Hub.
