Keyrus Spain is seeking an AI Engineer (Azure & Generative AI) to design, build, and operate scalable backend systems and AI-powered applications in aHybrid Barcelona-based setting. You will work with Data Scientists, AI Engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver secure, reliable solutions that unlock business value.

You will collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and stay at the forefront of Generative AI, LLMs, and IDP initiatives, ensuring robust deployments and measurable outcomes

Formación

• 2+ years of professional experience developing backend systems and cloud-based solutions.
• Proven experience developing AI-powered applications and deploying solutions in production.
• Experience working in Agile and multidisciplinary teams.
• Professional proficiency in Spanish and English.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems and APIs for enterprise AI solutions on Azure.
• Build and optimise cloud-native AI applications with performance and security in mind.
• Integrate Generative AI technologies including RAG and speech-to-text into production.
• Leverage Azure Functions, App Services, Cosmos DB, and Key Vault for secure solutions.

What You'll Architect

As an AI Engineer(Azure & Generative AI), you will help organisations transform complexity into measurable outcomes by combining technology, data, intelligence, and human decision-making.

This role is both technical and consultative, perfect for someone who can combine hands‑on development, AI solution engineering, and collaboration within multidisciplinary teams. The goal is to build scalable AI‑powered solutions while ensuring reliability, performance, and business value. We’re looking for professionals who think like architects and act like builders.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems and APIs supporting enterprise AI solutions built on the Microsoft Azure ecosystem.

• Build and optimise cloud-native AI applications, ensuring performance, scalability, security, and operational excellence.

• Integrate Generative AI technologies, including Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), speech-to-text capabilities, and other AI models into production environments.

• Leverage Azure services such as Azure Functions, App Services, Cosmos DB, and Azure Key Vault to deliver secure and efficient solutions.

• Collaborate closely with Data Scientists, AI Engineers, Frontend Developers, and Business Stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of AI capabilities.

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimise backend services and AI deployments, ensuring high availability, reliability, and operational stability.

• Stay current with emerging trends in Generative AI, particularly Large Language Models (LLMs), Prompt Engineering, and enterprise AI adoption.

• Contribute to the design and implementation of Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) solutions leveraging LLMs and advanced document understanding techniques.

• Proven experience developing AI-powered applications and deploying solutions in production environments.

Technical & Professional Skills

• Experience with backend development and API design.

• Hands‑on expertise in Azure AI and cloud services, particularly:

• Experience integrating Generative AI solutions, including:

  • Large Language Models (LLMs)

  • Prompt Engineering
