IQVIA is seeking a Data Engineer to design, build and maintain data infrastructure powering AI-enabled COA strategy and COA Accelerator capabilities. You will own data ingestion, transformation, governance, and quality for diverse sources including clinical, regulatory, scientific, and internal content.

Formación

• Degree in computer science, data engineering, data science, information systems, bioinformatics, engineering, or a related field.
• Experience designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines for structured and unstructured data.
• Strong Python and SQL skills.
• Experience with APIs, relational databases, document stores, search indexes, cloud data platforms, and ETL/ELT workflows.
• Experience handling large volumes of text-heavy documents (PDFs, slides, reports, literature).
• Strong understanding of data cleaning, normalisation, metadata management, document parsing, indexing, lineage, versioning, and auditability.
• Familiarity with data modelling for scientific/clinical/healthcare content.
• Ability to translate domain requirements into practical data structures and retrieval-ready content.
• Collaborate effectively with AI engineers, product managers, COA scientists, software engineers, security and legal teams.
• Strong documentation skills to document data sources, transformations, and lineage.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and maintain data infrastructure supporting IQVIA’s AI-enabled COA strategy.
• Own ingestion, transformation, normalisation, enrichment, indexing, versioning, and governance of data sources.
• Build ingestion pipelines for structured and unstructured data (PDFs, docs, APIs, trials, publications).
• Transform raw material into AI-ready formats for retrieval and citation workflows.
• Develop repeatable processes for document parsing, OCR, text extraction, metadata enrichment, chunking, deduplication, and quality control.
• Provide technical support to teams building the platform’s core knowledge layer including instrument metadata and regulatory evidence.
• Support ingestion of public data sources (clinical trials, FDA/EMA docs, HTA records, literature).
• Prepare data for retrieval-augmented generation through high-quality chunking, embeddings, indexes, metadata filters.
• Collaborate with AI engineers to improve retrieval precision, recall, and citation accuracy.
• Maintain traceability between AI outputs and source documents.
• Implement data quality controls and audit trails for ingestion and updates.
• Work with legal, security, compliance, product and domain stakeholders to ensure compliant data use.
• Collaborate across AI Engineering, Product, COA Science and Software Engineering.
