Role Description

The Insurance Agent (Agente de seguros) at Occident is a full-time, hybrid role based in Vinaroz, with the possibility to perform some tasks from home. The role focuses on advising new and existing clients on suitable insurance products across general, health, life, savings, and investment lines, ensuring that coverage matches their needs and risk profile. Day-to-day responsibilities include prospecting and acquiring clients, conducting needs analysis, preparing and presenting insurance proposals, managing policy applications and renewals, and providing ongoing customer support. The Insurance Agent will handle claims guidance, maintain accurate records in company systems, and collaborate with colleagues, intermediaries, and other professionals to ensure high service standards. The role also involves meeting sales and service targets, staying up to date on Occident's product portfolio and regulatory requirements, and representing the brand professionally in the local community.

Qualifications

• Strong client advisory and relationship-building skills, with the ability to understand customer needs and provide clear, trustworthy insurance guidance.
• Sales and negotiation abilities, including experience in prospecting, closing agreements, and working toward commercial targets or performance objectives.
• Organizational and administrative skills to manage multiple client accounts, prepare documentation, follow up on policies and claims, and maintain accurate records.
• Communication skills in spoken and written Spanish; additional local languages or English are an advantage.
• Basic financial and risk understanding to explain coverage options, savings products, and investment-related insurance in a simple and responsible way.
• Comfort with digital tools and office software, including CRM or policy management systems, and the ability to work effectively in a hybrid (office and home) environment.
• Customer-focused mindset, professionalism, and high ethical standards, with commitment to non-discriminatory and inclusive service.
• Prior experience in insurance, financial services, or customer-facing roles is a plus; relevant certifications or licensing required by local regulations are
