GMV is expanding its Space Surveillance and Tracking team in Madrid, seeking an Aerospace Software Engineer to design, develop and maintain backend services in a microservices-based architecture. You will integrate algorithms for space surveillance, collaborate with aerospace and software teams, and help ensure scalable, robust software in real-time environments.

The role values Java and Spring Boot, REST APIs, PostgreSQL, Docker, and secure API design (OAuth2/JWT).

Formación

• Solid experience in backend development with Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience in designing and using RESTful APIs (Open API/Swagger).
• Strong knowledge of relational databases, especially PostgreSQL (data modeling, query optimization).
• Experience working with Docker and containerized environments.
• Knowledge of microservice architectures and distributed systems.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Experience with software testing (unit, integration) and clean code practices.
• Knowledge of API security (authentication, authorization, OAuth2, JWT).

WHAT DO WE NEED IN OUR TEAM?

For this position, we are looking for an Aerospace Software Engineer who is seeking a stable environment in which to grow, with a proven track record and experience in:

• Solid experience in backend development with Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience in designing and using RESTful APIs (Open API/Swagger).
• Strong knowledge of relational databases, especially PostgreSQL (data modeling, query optimization).
• Experience working with Docker and containerized environments.
• Knowledge of microservice architectures and distributed systems.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Experience with software testing (unit, integration) and clean code practices.
• Knowledge of API security (authentication, authorization, OAuth2, JWT).

We will also value knowledge of:

• Python (e.g., for data processing, scripting, or integration tasks).
• CI/CD processes.
• Event‑driven architectures (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Experience in the aerospace sector, space systems, or scientific software.
• Large‑scale data processing.
