GMV Spain is expanding its Space sector team to build advanced software for Space Surveillance and Tracking. You will design, develop, and maintain Java-based microservices, integrate RESTful APIs, and work with modern data processing systems.

The role involves collaboration with aerospace, software, systems, and DevOps teams, ensuring quality and planetary-grade standards while offering a hybrid work model and relocation opportunities.

Formación

• Solid experience in backend development with Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience designing and using RESTful APIs (Open API/Swagger).
• Strong knowledge of relational databases, especially PostgreSQL.
• Experience working with Docker and containerized environments.
• Knowledge of microservice architectures and distributed systems.
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git).
• Experience with software testing (unit, integration) and clean code practices.
• Knowledge of API security (authentication, authorization, OAuth2, JWT).
• Nice-to-have: Kafka and RabbitMQ for event-driven architectures.

• Designing,developing, and maintaining software in a microservices-based architecture.
• Integratealgorithms for space surveillance and tracking systems.

• Participate insystem integration, validation, and testing of software components.

WHAT DO WE NEED IN OUR TEAM?

For this position,we are looking for an Aerospace Software Engineer who is seeking a stableenvironment in which to grow, with a proven track record and experience in:

• Solid experiencein backend development with Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience indesigning and using RESTful APIs (Open API/Swagger).
• Strong knowledgeof relational databases, especially PostgreSQL (data modeling, queryoptimization).
• Experience workingwith Docker and containerized environments.
• Knowledge of microservice architectures and distributed systems.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Experience with software testing (unit, integration) and clean code practices.
• Knowledge of APIsecurity (authentication, authorization, OAuth2, JWT).

We will also valueknowledge of:

• Python (e.g., fordata processing, scripting, or integration tasks).
• CI/CD processes.
• Event-drivenarchitectures (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Experience in theaerospace sector, space systems, or scientific software.
• Large-scale dataprocessing.
