Job summary

GMV is expanding its Space sector in Madrid, seeking an Aerospace Software Engineer to design, develop and maintain microservices-based software for space surveillance and tracking.

You will work with Java/Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, PostgreSQL, Docker, and distributed systems, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across the organization. Relocation and hybrid work are available for this role.

Qualifications

• Solid experience in backend development with Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience designing and using RESTful APIs (Open API/Swagger).
• Strong knowledge of relational databases, especially PostgreSQL (data modeling, query optimization).
• Experience working with Docker and containerized environments.
• Knowledge of microservice architectures and distributed systems.
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git).
• Experience with software testing (unit, integration) and clean code practices.
• Knowledge of API security (authentication, authorization, OAuth2, JWT).

WHAT DO WE NEED IN OUR TEAM?

For this position,we are looking for an Aerospace Software Engineer who is seeking a stableenvironment in which to grow, with a proven track record and experience in:

• Solid experiencein backend development with Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience indesigning and using RESTful APIs (Open API/Swagger).

We will also valueknowledge of:

• Python (e.g., fordata processing, scripting, or integration tasks).
• CI/CD processes.
• Event-drivenarchitectures (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Experience in theaerospace sector, space systems, or scientific software.
• Large-scale dataprocessing.
