Job summary

Airbus Defence and Space SAU is seeking a Data Acquisition Systems and Solutions Engineer to design, implement, and maintain advanced data acquisition systems for aerospace and defence applications. You will shape hardware and sensor integration, build digital pipelines, and serve as the primary technical services representative coordinating with customers and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• Proven experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining data acquisition systems.
• Strong understanding of sensor technologies and signal conditioning.
• Proficiency in Python and C++ for DAQ tasks.
• Experience with DAQ hardware platforms and software tools.
• Knowledge of data communication protocols (Ethernet, CAN, MIL-STD-1553).
• Familiarity with data analysis and visualization tools.
• Experience in aerospace/defense industry is desirable.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Willingness to travel for meetings, demos and support.
• Fluent in English; knowledge of Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to design, development, deployment and integration of data acquisition solutions (hardware and software).
• Specify and document sensor, transducer, and instrumentation needs for optimal data collection.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to define data acquisition requirements and specifications.
• Develop and implement data processing algorithms to ensure data quality and integrity.
• Troubleshoot DAQ systems, sensors, and data flow; resolve issues promptly.
• Perform system validation and verification to meet requirements and standards.
• Generate technical documentation including specs, test plans, procedures.
• Stay current with technologies in data acquisition, instrumentation, signal processing.
• Provide technical support and training to end-users.
• Participate in project planning, scheduling, budgeting and progress reporting.
