GE Vernova's SVO - New Products team in Barcelona, Spain is seeking an engineer to advance wind turbine designs through system value optimization, loads assessment, and validation. You will deliver load simulations, cosims, and documentation to support certification and product readiness.

You will collaborate on developing methods, the loads toolchain, and design reviews, while supporting lean initiatives and risk mitigation across prototype and fleet validation.

Formación

• BS in Mechanical, Wind, Systems, or Aerospace Engineering from accredited university

Responsabilidades

• Perform system value optimization across loads, stability, operation, and performance
• Deliver NPI/DTO loads: prepare inputs, create model, run simulations and post-process
• Deliver cosims for validation
• Prepare certification load packages and respond to certification bodies
• Develop methods and standard work updates
• Develop loads tool chain improvements (pre/post processing)
• Assist in design reviews, risk assessment and DFMEA updates
• Support lean and industrialization initiatives

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

• Perform system value optimization
  • Help perform system value optimization work, making tradeoffs in the loads, stability, operation, and performance of the product
  • Help perform feasibility studies and develop tech charts
• Deliver NPI/DTO loads
  • Prepare loads inputs, create the simulation model, execute loads simulations, and perform post processing
  • Perform basic operability checks and frequency domain stability checks
  • Hand off model and controller parameters to MLA
  • Update load envelopes
• Prepare load certification docs
  • Prepare certification load packages and documentation
  • Help address questions from certification bodies
• Deliver cosims
  • Prepare co-simulation for validation activities for prototype and fleet leader validation
  • Help resolve gaps seen between simulations and field measurement.
• Develop methods and standard work
  • Help develop advancements in load methods
  • Help develop DP and standard work updates
• Develop loads tool chain
  • Help develop improvements to the pre and post processing toolchain (excludes One Wind tools)

Qualification/Requirements

• B.S. in Mechanical, Wind, Systems, or Aerospace Engineering from accredited university (or equivalent)
