Taylor Hopkinson is assisting a leading renewable energy company in search of an Accounting Specialist to join its Italian team. The role focuses on accurate day-to-day accounting, tax and statutory reporting, and close collaboration with internal and external finance partners.

The candidate will manage reconciliations, support monthly/quarterly closings, and contribute to process improvements in a dynamic, international environment.

Formación

• Degree in economics, accounting, or finance; accounting diploma also considered.
• At least 4 years of professional accounting experience.
• Solid understanding of Italian accounting principles and tax requirements.
• Experience with general ledger, reconciliations and closing activities.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and ERP/accounting systems.
• Professional proficiency in Italian and English, written and spoken.

Taylor Hopkinson is supporting a leading company operating in the renewable energy sector in the search for an Accounting Specialist to join its Italian team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and reliability of day-to-day accounting activities, supporting the preparation of periodic financial information and contributing to the timely completion of statutory and tax-related requirements. The role will involve close collaboration with internal finance stakeholders as well as external advisors, auditors and other professional partners. Key Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor day-to-day accounting activities, ensuring transactions are accurately recorded and properly supported.
• Perform regular checks and reconciliations across general ledger accounts, banks and other balance sheet items.
• Contribute to monthly, quarterly and annual closing activities.
• Prepare accounting documentation and supporting schedules for financial reporting purposes.
• Assist with the preparation and review of statutory financial statements and other financial information.
• Support the management of Italian tax and accounting compliance requirements, coordinating with external advisors where required.
• Work closely with external accountants, tax consultants and auditors, providing the necessary information and documentation.
• Monitor outstanding accounting items and ensure issues are identified and resolved in a timely manner.
• Support financial planning activities by providing accurate accounting information for budgeting and forecasting.
• Maintain well-organised accounting records and ensure documentation is complete and readily available for audit and compliance purposes.
• Contribute to the improvement and standardisation of accounting processes and internal procedures.
• Provide support to the wider finance team on ad hoc accounting and reporting activities.

Requirements

• Degree in Economics, Accounting, Finance or a related discipline; an accounting diploma will also be considered.
• At least 4 years of professional experience in accounting.
• Solid understanding of Italian accounting principles and tax requirements.
• Practical experience with general ledger accounting, reconciliations and financial closing activities.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and familiarity with ERP/accounting systems.
• Professional working proficiency in Italian and English, both written and spoken.
• Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to financial information.
• Ability to organise activities independently and manage multiple deadlines effectively.
• Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders.
• A proactive and solution-oriented mindset, with an interest in improving processes and ways of working.
• Previous experience in the renewable energy or broader energy sector would be considered an advantage.
