HAYS Technology partners with a leading pharmaceutical group to recruit an Accounting Administrator in Barcelona. You will support the Tax Department during inspections, manage SAP data extraction, and ensure accurate accounting records.

This role emphasizes process automation (PowerShell), large-scale document handling, and collaboration with finance and payroll teams. A strong background in SAP, tax compliance, and advanced Excel is required.

Formación

• Experience supporting tax inspections or external audits.
• Strong accounting and tax background with SAP knowledge.
• Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, formulas, Power Query, VBA).
• PowerShell or automation tools experience desired.
• Familiarity with tax reporting processes and documentation.

Responsabilidades

• Provide technical and functional support to the Tax Department during Spanish tax inspections.
• Extract, validate, prepare, and reconcile financial and tax information from SAP for AEAT.
• Prepare documentation and justifications for accounting entries, payroll, and tax transactions.
• Produce specialized documentation requested by the Spanish Tax Authority.
• Validate accounting records in SAP and other systems for data integrity.
• Review historical accounting information for tax filings and statutory reporting.
• Audit travel expenses and other costs for tax compliance.
• Develop PowerShell solutions to automate document handling for AEAT submissions.

HAYS Technology is collaborating with the leading company in the pharmaceutical sector, TOP 10 pharma with more than 146 affiliates around the world and 47 employees, of which 1,600 are located in Spain.

We are looking for an Accounting Administrator with a strong accounting and tax background to join a dynamic Finance team with a significant analytical and technological focus.The candidate will play a key role in supporting the Tax Department during tax audits and inspections, as well as participating in financial data analysis, reconciliations, process automation, and large-scale document management initiatives.

What would your duties be?

• Provide technical and functional support to the Tax Department during Spanish tax inspections and interactions with the Spanish Tax Authority (AEAT).
• Extract, validate, prepare, and reconcile financial and tax-related information from SAP to address tax authority requests and reporting requirements.
• Prepare supporting documentation and business justifications related to accounting entries, payroll settlements, and tax-related transactions.
• Provide specialized documentation and explanations requested by the Spanish Tax Authority regarding accounting records and payroll settlements.
• Validate accounting records and financial information within SAP and other corporate systems to ensure data integrity and traceability.
• Review historical accounting information used for tax filings and tax compliance obligations, including transfer pricing documentation and statutory reporting requirements.
• Audit travel expenses, non-deductible costs, and other expense categories to ensure compliance with internal policies and tax regulations.
• Develop PowerShell solutions to automatically rename, organize, and group documentation according to the technical requirements established for submissions to the Spanish Tax Authority.

Which are the requirements for this position?

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• Experience participating in tax inspections, external audits, compliance reviews, or regulatory reporting projects.
• Strong knowledge of SAP, particularly financial modules.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, complex formulas, Power Query, and VBA/macros.
• Knowledge of PowerShell or other automation tools is highly desirable.
• Experience with AS/400 or other ERP systems is considered a plus.
• Familiarity with tax reporting processes and supporting documentation requirements.
• Professional level of English (minimum B2-C1), both written and spoken.
