Talent Search People is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Accountant to join our Shared Services Center in Catalonia. The role focuses on ensuring IFRS financial statements are accurate while coordinating with local entities.

You will handle day-to-day accounting for French entities, perform month- and year-end closings, prepare journal entries and reconciliations, and support VAT, tax processes, and statutory reporting.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field.
• CPA/ACCA or equivalent certification is a strong plus.
• Advanced knowledge of IFRS and local accounting standards.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Accountant to join our growing Shared Services Center. The ideal candidate will bring up to 5 years of experience from a Big Four firm or similar, specializing in audit or financial consulting. You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial statements under IFRS standards while collaborating with local entities to ensure compliance with regional accounting principles.

• Manage day-to-day accounting activities for the French entities.
• Perform month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Prepare and review journal entries, accruals and reconciliations.
• Ensure accurate accounting records and compliance with internal policies.
• Support VAT and tax-related accounting processes.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and account reviews.
• Assist with statutory reporting requirements.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Collaborate with Finance, Tax and Accounting teams across different countries.

Experience: 3–4 years of professional experience specifically within a Big Four firm (Deloitte, PwC, EY, or KPMG) or similar.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA/ACCA or equivalent certification is a strong plus.

Technical Expertise: Advanced knowledge of IFRS is mandatory. Proficiency in local accounting standards is highly valued.

Languages: Native proficiency or Advanced in French and English. To ensure seamless integration and communication within the SSC and local stakeholders.

Systems: Experience with ERP systems (SAP) and advanced Excel skills.
