Airbus Defence and Space SAU in Getafe (Madrid) seeks a Production Engineer specialized in A/C Assembly & Disassembly, System Installation and Functional Test to lead a cross-functional team in the A/C zone.

You will coordinate production, quality, engineering, and planning activities, ensuring safety standards and continuous improvement in a complex assembly environment. Fluency in Spanish and English is essential.

Formación

• Education: Aeronautical or Industrial Engineering degree or a related discipline.
• Experience: At least 3 years in Production, Manufacturing Engineering or Planning & Production Control.
• Soft skills: Strong conflict management skills with a track record of fostering a collaborative environment.
• Languages: Advanced level in Spanish & English (both written and spoken).
• Technical knowledge: CI methodologies to reduce costs/lead times and to digitalize processes.
• Nice to have: A330 MRTT conversion, A/C disassembly/assembly and related processes; knowledge of IT tools like SIPLA, Digital, Bar Chart, DEMAT, CATIA, SNT; knowledge of Part 145 and 21 regulations.

Responsabilidades

• Manage the multifunctional team established within TAOTT4 to achieve delivery goals with Production, Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Planning & Production Control, and other resources.
• Lead Airbus shopfloor managers, electricians, mechanics, and testing technicians and several subcontractors within the A/C zone.
• Coordinate across TAOTT zones to reach AG2 objectives and ensure proper workload-capacity with the right competencies.
• Ensure Health & Safety, Quality, FOD, DIM and House Keeping standards are followed by all stakeholders.
• Drive continuous improvement and Operational Excellence in the area and promote VOC-driven actions.
• Act as a role model for Airbus values, ethics and compliance, and maintain strong team engagement.

Job Description

An opportunity has arisen on the FAL A330 MRTT for a Production Engineer specialized in A/C Assembly & Disassembly, System Installation and Functional Test within Airbus Defence and Space, Getafe (Madrid).

Responsibilities

The jobholder will be responsible of the A/C conversion activities assigned by the Head Of the A/C zone.

• Manage the multifunctional team established within TAOTT4 under his/her responsibility to achieve the delivery goals without pending works, integrating all functions assigned: Production, Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Planning & Production Control, etc. as well as resources assigned; human, infrastructure, tooling, industrial means, etc.
• Manage a diverse team of Airbus shopfloor managers, electricians, mechanics and maintenance & testing technicians, as well as several subcontractors’ companies working in the same A/C zone.
• Ensure coordination across different TAOTT´s zones to reach AG2 objectives.
• Ensure a proper workload-capacity with right competencies.
• Ensure that Health & Safety, Quality, FOD, DIM and House Keeping standards are known and followed by all stakeholders working on his/her area of responsibility.
• Drive continuous improvement and the Operational Excellence in the area.
• Guarantee VOC (Voice of the Customer) communication in the area, promoting actions to improve customer satisfaction.
• Lead the cultural transformation towards a more efficient organization.
• Act as a role model in the regarding Health & Safety, team engagement, energy, Airbus values and ethics & compliance.

• Education: Aeronautical or Industrial Engineering degree or a related discipline.

  • Reduce costs and lead times.

  • Experience in A330 MRTT conversion, A/C disassembly/assembly, refurbishing and functional test processes.
  • Experience in organization and supervision of production groups and subcontracted companies.
  • Knowledge of IT tools like: SIPLA, Digital, Bar Chart, DEMAT, CATIA, SNT.
  • Knowledge of regulations Part 145 and 21.
