UBS in Madrid is seeking ambitious students to join its 2027 Off-cycle Internship Program within Global Markets. You’ll work on client trading support, data extraction, and market research to inform decisions.

You’ll be mentored by experienced professionals in a global firm, discover how AI can enhance outcomes, and gain exposure to hedge funds, asset managers and other market participants.

This paid internship lasts 3–6 months.

We're looking for ambitious students to join our 2027 Off-cycle Internship Program within our Global Markets business.

You’ll Get To

• buy and sell financial instruments for our clients
• extract market moving data from a variety of sources to inform decisions across our Global Markets business
• provide clients with information about recent market trends and offer trades at the best prices

Your team

You’ll be working in our Global Markets business. We advise clients and do everything that’s needed to buy and sell securities for them from start to finish. We work with hedge funds, pension funds, asset managers and family offices to provide coverage, advisory, capital markets and financing services

Your expertise

Internships in Spain must meet specific academic and regulatory requirements set by the Fundación Universidad‑Empresa (FUE), including the need for an approved university internship agreement and compliance with recent Social Security obligations. Eligibility can vary depending on each university’s policies and whether the internship is curricular or extracurricular, so students should confirm their eligibility with their institution before applying. We’re Looking For a Candidate Who

• is in their penultimate or final year of their degree, or who has recently graduated within six months of starting the internship
• has or is on track for a 2.1 (UK grading system) or equivalent in their first undergraduate degree
• can evidence how experimental and responsible use of AI can improve outcomes and efficiency
• has values that align with ours: hard-working, trustworthy, dedicated and collaborative
• is a strategic thinker with strong communication skills
• is motivated to work in a business with high demands and tight deadlines

Your program

This paid internship will last 3 - 6 months. You’ll work with our experts and learn about the industry, our clients and our firm. You’ll be right at the heart of our business, learning from your colleagues, taking part in day-to-day operations. You'll be given mentors along the way and will have the chance to get to know some of the most senior members of our teams.

You’ll have plenty of opportunities to develop new skills and make contacts along the way. If you like challenges, enjoy learning and want to work where no two days are the same, this program is for you.

If you have a successful internship, you may get an offer to return for our Graduate Talent Program after you've completed your studies.
