Job summary

IGTP Retreat in the Barcelona area invites a Neurologist specialized in movement disorders to lead clinical research activities at the Movement Disorders Unit. You will conduct study visits, monitor patients, and coordinate trials, collaborating with clinicians on advanced therapies including DBS and MRI-guided HIFU.

Based on the Can Ruti Campus, the role offers a permanent full-time contract, a diverse translational research environment, and supportive training within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

Medical degree in Neurology.
Languages: Spanish, Catalan, English.
Experience with movement disorders preferred.
Database management knowledge.

Responsibilities

Conduct study visits and participate in clinical trials.
Coordinate active research projects within the Unit.
Monitor patients in the Movement Disorders Unit.
Provide training within the Unit and support to neurologists.
Oversee treatment and follow-up of patients with movement disorders on advanced therapies (DBS, MRI-guided HIFU).

JOB DESCRIPTION

Neurologist specializing in movement disorders to conduct clinical research.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Participation in clinical trials at the Movement Disorders Unit, including conducting study visits, coordinating active research projects within the Unit, and monitoring patients. At the same time, training within the Movement Disorders Unit, providing support to the unit’s neurologists, as well as in the treatment and follow-up of patients with movement disorders undergoing advanced therapies such as deep brain stimulation and MRI-guided high-intensity focused ultrasound.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Required level of education: Medical degree, Neurologist.
Languages: Spanish, Catalan, English
Personal skills: Knowledge of computer tools and database management.
Required experience: Work experience in a specialized movement disorders unit will be taken into account, particularly prior experience with DBS and HIFU.

WHAT WE OFFER

Type of contract and working hours: Permanent, full-time employment contract under the Spanish Science Law / Ley de la Ciencia.
Date of incorporation. 15/12/2026
Gross annual remuneration inherent to the square objected to this call, will be fixed based on the experience provided and the skills of the candidate, distributed in 12 payments.
Flexible payment (childminding vouchers).
23 days holiday and 5 days for personal matters.
