Germans Trias i Pujol Research Institute (IGTP) in Badalona is seeking a Laboratory Technician for the Biobank Fluid Node. You will collect, register and process biological samples, and support distribution and data management within a multidisciplinary research setting.

The role requires handling human samples, some English proficiency, and collaboration within a quality-managed biobank environment on a full-time basis at the Can Ruti Campus.

Formación

• Holding a Higher Technician degree in Clinical and Biomedical Laboratory or a similar qualification.
• Demonstrated intermediate level of English.
• Proven previous experience in handling human samples.
• Willingness to work in the area of document management.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Immediate availability.
• Previous experience in processing blood samples and other derivatives will be an asset.
• Previous experience with databases, records, and information management software will be an asset.
• Previous experience in handling frozen samples will be an asset.
• Previous experience in biobanking and/or research support services will be an asset.

Responsabilidades

Job Description

The IGTP is seeking to recruit a Laboratory Technician to carry out tasks associated with the Biobank Fluid Node.

Main Responsibilities

• Open-ended contract (Ley de la ciencia 14/2011).

• Date of incorporation: estimated start date: 25th September 2026
• Gross remuneration according to the candidate’s qualifications and experience.
• Gross annual remuneration inherent to the square objected to this call, will be fixed based on the experience provided and the skills of the candidate, distributed in 12 payments.

About Us

The Germans Trias i Pujol Research Institute (IGTP) is a public research centre located in Badalona. Its main objective is to increase scientific knowledge in order to transform it into solutions to improve the health and medical care of patients and the community.

The Institute is associated with one of the major university hospitals in the Barcelona area, the Germans Trias i Pujol Hospital, and is part of the Can Ruti biomedical campus.
