Planate Management Group seeks an experienced Engineer Technician to support the Resident Officer in Charge of Construction (ROICC). You will oversee and coordinate construction, maintenance, repair, and alteration projects while ensuring schedules, budgets, technical requirements, and safety regulations are met.

This contingent position may extend for approximately five years with potential six-month extension if awarded.

Formación

  • Must have 3+ years of technical/field experience on DoD construction projects.
  • Experience with Primavera scheduling software and/or other scheduling tools.
  • Clear understanding of EM 385-1-1 Construction Safety requirements and safety practices.

Responsabilidades

  • Monitor construction, maintenance, repair, and alteration projects for timely completion within schedule and budget.
  • Review technical specs and statements of work for complex designs and changes to contract documents.
  • Apply knowledge of civil, mechanical, electrical, and environmental construction concepts to projects.

Planate Management Group (PMG) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, and Orlando, Florida USA with a technical support center in South East Asia and East Africa, that provides program management and facilities engineering services worldwide. Planate is a small business provider of planning, design, infrastructure management, technical consulting, engineering, and construction management services in support of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and its Service (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps) missions, along with other US federal agencies, all over the world.

We are seeking an experiencedEngineer Technician that will support support Resident Officer in Charge of Construction (ROICC). You will oversee and coordinate construction, maintenance, repair, and alteration projects while ensuring compliance with schedules, budgets, technical requirements, and safety regulations.

This position is contingent upon contract award of the contract. If awarded, the anticipated period of performance will be approximately five years with six months potential extension.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor construction, maintenance, repair, and alteration projects to ensure successful and timely completion within established schedule and budget requirements.
  • Understand and review technical engineering specifications and statements of work covering complex and diverse engineering designs or changes to contract documents.
  • Apply knowledge of facility construction concepts, principles, and practices applicable to civil, mechanical, electrical, and/or environmental projects, including vertical and horizontal construction projects.
  • Apply construction management skills and knowledge of construction practices and methods to support construction and construction management activities.
  • Provide reports and make presentations to Government personnel in fluent English.
  • Apply safety and occupational health principles, practices, procedures, laws, and regulations related to engineering performance requirements and as outlined in EM 385-1-1 and 29 CFR.
  • Perform assigned duties in outdoor environments, including extreme heat or cold, confined spaces, climbing, and use of fall protection equipment, as required by the PWS.
Qualifications to be successful in the role:
  • Minimum of three (3) years of technical and practical knowledge and experience as an engineering technician, superintendent, quality control/quality assurance manager or representative, or Contracting Officer's Representative on Department of the Navy or other Department of Defense construction projects.
  • Training and knowledge of Primavera scheduling software and/or other construction scheduling software.
  • Record of completion of the full 40-hour EM 385-1-1 Construction Safety Course (NAVFAC or USACE), or completion of the course within the first 90 days of being on board. The eight-hour online course is not an acceptable alternative.
  • Must be physically capable of performing the tasks outlined in the PWS, including strenuous activity, outdoor work in extreme heat or cold, working in confined spaces, climbing, and using fall protection equipment.
  • Must successfully pass the required security background investigation as required by the installation where services will be performed.
